At Sunday’s PRO-DAY World Series at Taylor Field, the consolation game took place as Relyance Bank completed its sweep of the Alabama-based squad of PRO-DAY Elite. White Hall earned the third-place trophy as it finished the tournament with a 2-3 record.
In a rematch of Saturday’s game in which Relyance won 11-3, the offense came alive and erupted for 15 hits and 16 runs. Bailey Smith and Gavin Bailey combined pitching to hold Elite to just six hits and three runs.
Kirk Baugh earned MVP honors for the game as he finished a home run shy of a cycle with four RBIs, while Conner Freeman was a perfect 4 for 4 with a double.
Relyance led the whole game and Justin Archer launched a three-run home run in the fifth inning to put the game in hand.
Brandon Lowe ended with a 1-for-2 performance with a double to lead PRO-DAY, which finished fourth with a 1-4 record.
