Floy Hoerner

METAIRIE, La. — Floy Mae (Warner) Hoerner, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Hoerner and her son, Fay Starr Jr.

Jane Rice

WHITE HALL — Mrs. Jane Marie Gates Rice, 86, of White Hall, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012. She was born May 18, 1926 in Grant County, Arkansas to the late Oscar and Ida Young Gates. She attended schools in Sheridan and also attended business school in Pine Bluff. She was a member of First Baptist Church-White Hall and was retired credit manager for Firestone.

Opal Dye

JONESBORO — Mrs. Opal Dye, age 92, of Jonesboro, formerly of White Hall, died Thursday, December 13, 2012. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.

Elton Jones

WHITE HALL — Mr. Elton Jones, 85, of White Hall, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012. He was born January 4, 1927 in Ogema to the late Doyle and Lorelure Cranford Jones. Mr. Jones was the owner and operator of Jones Feed and had worked for Kroger and Safeway for over 27 years. He attended schools in Sheridan and was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Elton was a member of the Cornerstone Apostolic Church where he was a Trustee, Board Member, former Sunday School Superintendent, Young Peoples Leader, and Sunday School Teacher. He was a former White Hall Alderman. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Onitia Rhoden and Faye Clark.

Ann Buchanan

REDFIELD — Mrs. Ann Wood Buchanan of Redfield, was born July 23, 1955 in Camden, the daughter of Maxine House Wood Poe and the late David Dale Wood. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan, a member of the Sheridan High School Class of 1973 and was a devoted teacher for many years. She was a member of the Humane Society of Pulaski County of which she was an avid supporter.

Jean Boast

WHITE HALL — Jean McBryde Boast, 82, of White Hall died at home Thursday, November 29, 2012. Born in Conway, Ark., March 31, 1930, a daughter of James Grady and Thelma Lee Moore McBryde, she has been a resident of Jefferson County since 1940. A 1948 graduate of White Hall High School, she married Virgil Palmer Boast December 12, 1947 in Pine Bluff.

Ricky Brooks Jr.

WHITE HALL — Mr. Ricky Brooks, Jr., 24, of White Hall passed Friday, November 23, 2012. He was born in Little Rock to Ricky Brooks, Sr. and Monica E. (Bryant) Brooks both of White Hall. Survivors include Sisters, Rickena Brooks, Alunda Brooks, Yolunda Brooks all of Fayetteville, Ark.; Grandfather, Altha Bryant of Pine Bluff; five very special Aunts, Amie McKinney, Girtha Adway both of Pine Bluff, Irene Server of Tulsa, Okla., Betty Brewer of England, Ark., LaTasha Cannon of Jacksonville, Ark. Ricky also leaves to treasure his memories, numerous other aunts and uncles, a multitude of cousins and an incalculable amount of friends.
