On June 14 at 1:30 p.m., an accident was reported on the parking lot of Cranford’s at 8503 Dollarway Road.
Devyn Horne of White Hall said he was attempting to park the 2004 Kia he was driving when he pressed the accelerator instead of the brake and the right front of his vehicle struck the right rear of a 2001 Honda that was parked.
The owner of the other vehicle, Sandra Phillips of Pine Bluff, said when she returned to her vehicle, she noticed the damage.
Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
On June 15 at 11:57 a.m., a two-vehicle accident was reported on U.S 270/Sheridan Road at its intersection with Interstate 530 south.
Mark Staples of White Hall said he was stopped eastbound for a red light on U.S. 270. He said he felt a bump to the rear of his vehicle and noticed that another vehicle had struck his vehicle.
Damage to the 2002 Ford driven by Staples was estimated at $500.
The driver of the other vehicle, Alvaro Alfaro of Pine Bluff, said he was stopped behind the other vehicle at the red light. He said he reached into the back seat of his vehicle and when he did, his foot came off the brake and he struck the other vehicle
Damage to the 2005 Buick driven by Alfaro was estimated at $1,500.
Alfrao received citations for careless/prohibited driving and no driver’s license.
On June 18, Sgt. Sandy Castleberry was given five warrants and a criminal summons for Sidney Moore Jr., 23 of White Hall and was asked to locate Moore and serve the warrants on him. Later than day, Castleberry saw a female that he knew was Moore’s girlfriend at Big Jim’s at 8006 Dollarway Road. The female was also driving the same vehicle Moore was known to use.
Castleberry reported that he followed the female to an apartment complex and saw a male make several trips to the car. After determining the male was not Moore, he asked the man about Moore and Moore came out of the apartment and he was served with the warrants.
When he was arrested, Moore was reportedly carrying a small bag containing suspected marijuana.
Moore was taken to the adult detention center where he was booked in on the warrants, which were for fleeing, obstructing governmental operations, driving on a suspended driver’s license, no proof of liability insurance and disregarding a stop sign. He was also charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
On June 18, Officer Brian Hornsby was notified that a Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy had Desirye’e Reynolds, 19, of Pine Bluff in custody on a warrant from White Hall City Court for failure to appear with a bond of $805. Reynolds was taken to the adult detention center where she was booked in on the warrant, which was deleted from the Arkansas Crime Information Center database.
On June 19, Officer Stephen Moreau was notified that Annette Jones of Pine Bluff was at the city clerk’s office and had an active warrant for for failure to appear with a bond of $1,330. Jones was issued a promise to appear in White Hall City Court and the warrant was deleted from the Arkansas Crime Information Center database.
