It’s that time of year again. The temperatures are beginning to cool down and the leaves are changing color. For one group of individuals in White Hall, this time of year marks the time for fears and frights.
Opening weekend for the Demented Mansion on Dollarway Road provided patrons with ghouls and ghosts, monsters and maniacs all in the name of a good scare.
This haunted home has been terrifying people each Halloween season for around eight years and is run by Brenda Murphy and Kenny Carroway.
Those looking for a guided tour of the mansion can stop by October 24-26 and October 31-November 2 from dark until the last group leaves.
Murphy keeps the creepy decorations up all year long and adds to them throughout the year. According to her, all of the hard work pays off. “We usually have a really good turnout. Sometimes the line reaches all the way to the museum parking lot,” Murphy said.
If one fright is just enough to get your blood flowing, another spooky attraction is now also open in White Hall. The Haunted Hollow, located on West Holland Ave, is also up and running for the season.
