2 WH Boys State delegates become officers

Babe Ruth World Series games postponed

The punishing heat of early August has, so far, stayed away from the Babe Ruth 14-year-old World Series. That was still the case on Wednesday, but weather still wreaked havoc on the national showcase, forcing the postponement of the day’s scheduled games.

White Hall takes late-night contest

Due to extra innings from the previous game, and the Babe Ruth 14-year-old World Series opening-day ceremony, the start of the game between White Hall and Portland, Maine, was pushed back two hours, and it started after 9 p.m.

The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments which include restaurants, bars, daycares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.
