Willing Workers of White Hall’s Extension Homemakers Club met Aug. 25 in the home of Jo Ann Carr for its annual picnic.
White Hall High School will name the 2015 homecoming queen at a pep assembly at the gymnasium at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. The queen will be crowned by School Board President Raymond Jones in ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.
Dixie Fritz presented the program, “Eating Smart and Healthy,” at the recent meeting of the Heart-N-Hands Extension Homemakers Club.
Jeff and Theresa Stover of Sheridan announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lacey Nicole Stover, to Tyler Jay Cox, son of Steve and Donna Cox of White Hall. The prospective bride is a graduate of Sheridan High School and attended Arkansas Tech University. She is employed at Hunter’s Animal Hospital in White Hall. The prospective groom is a graduate of White Hall High School and a graduate of Arkansas Tech University. He is employed by Union Pacific Railroad.
The White Hall Noon Lions Club will meet at noon Thursday, Aug. 13, at Larry’s Pizza in White Hall. The club will be making plans for their community and civic activities for the coming year.
Redfield author Terri Proksch, who writes as Terri Luckey, will hold an author workshop at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the main library of the Pine Bluff-Jefferson County Library System, 200 E. Eighth Ave.
