Raymond Webber has landed on his fourth NFL roster in as many years, as the Miami Dolphins signed tight end to the 90-player training camp roster, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Thursday.
Webber, 25, played collegiately at UAPB, where he set school records for receptions in a game, yards in a game, receptions in a single season and yards in a single season as a wide receiver. He and Jerry Rice, who played at Mississippi Valley State, are the only SWAC players ever to record 100 or more receptions in a season.
Webber signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in 2011, but was sidelined with a hamstring injury. He spent two months with the New York Jets but was waived just before the start of the 2012 season.
Green Bay recently cut Webber, who spent 2013 with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL. Webber has yet to play in an NFL game.
