MONTICELLO — Arkansas-Monticello freshman kicker Jamie McGee can add All-American to his list of honors.
Beyond Sports Network named McGee to its All-America Third Team, it was announced Thursday. McGee became the first placekicker in UAM history to receive an All-America honor.
McGee, who last week was named to the Daktronics All-Region team, went 17 for 19 on field goals to set school and Great American Conference records. As the NCAA Division II playoffs are ongoing, McGee still ranks fifth in the nation in field goals per game and 14th in field goal percentage. He led UAM in points with 79 on the season.
McGee went 7 for 7 on field goals from 20-29 yards, 6 for 7 from 30-39 yards and 4 for 5 from 40-49 yards.
The BSN All-America teams were chosen by college sports information directors, coaches, media and BSN staff.
