Mullen's seven treys not enough for Blossoms

ARKADELPHIA — Sophomore guard Nikki Mullen led Arkansas-Monticello with a career-high seven made three-pointers in a 67-60 loss to Henderson State on the road Thursday night inside the Duke Wells Center.

Mullen finished the game with 23 points, tying a career high, after connecting on 8 of 17 total shots and 7 of 13 three-pointers. The Green Forest native made four treys in the first half. She added two assists and three steals to her final totals.

Sophomore Jordan Goforth also reached double-digits with 14 points, while adding six rebounds and five assists.

The Blossoms led by as much as seven points in the first half thanks to three-point shooting from Goforth and Mullen. Mullen led all scorers in the first 20 minutes with 14 points. Goforth added two treys in the first half and had eight points at the break.

HSU’s Tiara Davis led all scorers with 24 points.
