LITTLE ROCK — Spotted in January, a way-too-early Top 25 began with TCU. Another one in May was risk-free, endorsing Ohio State. Both were dismissed out of hand. Available online and in various publications, other predictions were given a cursory glance at best.

State Champions

White Hall took home the 15-year-old Junior Babe Ruth South Arkansas state tournament championship after winning seven straight elimination games. The team defeated McGehee twice on Wednesday to win the tourney, which was played in Camden. White Hall will travel to Dumas, Texas, to play in the Southwest Regional tournament, beginning on Friday, July 24.
