Close Hatches takes Apple Blossom Handicap

It was déjà vu for Juddmonte Farms Inc.’s Close Hatches as she used the same front-running style as she had four weeks ago in the Azeri Stakes (G2) to win Friday’s $600,000 Apple Blossom Handicap (G1) on the penultimate race card of the 2014 Oaklawn race meet.

Mustangs Open Season With Title

The Arkansas Mustangs 17-under team won their first tournament of the season, the Hoop USA Tournament in Hot Springs, last weekend. EM Majors off to hot start

EM Majors 13-and-under, ranked No. 1 in Arkansas, have competed in four tournaments so far this season. They have won the past three, including this past weekend’s North Little Rock Rawlings Premier NIT, Shreveport Twin City Super NIT (March 23), and Cordova Shamrock Showdown (March 16).
