White Hall Bulldogs preview

White Hall’s 2014 season was full of close games, and the Bulldogs’ overall record was 5-6. In five of those six losses the margin of victory was seven points or fewer. One big play could have been the difference between a win or loss for the Bulldogs many times last season.

Fordyce Redbugs preview

The Fordyce Redbugs, led by head coach Tim Rodgers, are one of the few teams to return 16 starters back on a team that finished 7­-6 (5­-2 in 6­-3A) ending with a trip to the playoffs.

Sheridan Yellowjackets preview

There’s no question that this Sheridan football team is a senior-led group. Sheridan has a total of 16 seniors returning for their last year of Yellowjacket football. This group is definitely battle tested, but they haven’t had much success in the past two seasons. A lot of that can be credited to their youth and inexperience, but this year that can’t be used as an excuse at all.

Mr. Physique

Pine Bluff resident Jerry Martin won the overall title at the Arkansas State Bodybuilding Championship in Little Rock earlier this month. Martin was named 2015 Mr. Arkansas Physique and placed first in the Open Class B. Another Pine Bluff resident, Frank Whitemore placed first in Novice Class A and third in Open Class A. Fifth-place Finish

The Arkansas Rising Stars finished fifth in the nation at the AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida, last month.
