FAYETTEVILLE — Near dusk Tuesday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Stadium grounds it wasn’t the Arkansas football team preparing for the regular season. It was the local high schoolers kicking off theirs.

Wildcats begin season with powerhouse Pioneers

In the offseason, Waston Chapel keyed on the fact that it lost its first four games last season and how important it is that the Wildcats get off to a better start. This is the second year for head coach Jarred Dutton, and the players are more comfortable with his system.

Sheridan Yellowjackets preview

There’s no question that this Sheridan football team is a senior-led group. Sheridan has a total of 16 seniors returning for their last year of Yellowjacket football. Star City Bulldogs preview

Head coach Jett Furneaux has a divine passion for the game, and his Star City Bulldogs football team is in good shape heading into the 2015 season. Coming off of an 8-4 season, Furneaux believes that his team didn’t fulfill its potential last year, as the Bulldogs had a second round exit from the playoffs.

Ridgway Christian Eagles preview

Ridgway Christian’s football program is heading into its fourth season of existence. So far, the football program has had success under their head coach Trent Young. Instead of 11-man football, Ridgway plays eight-man football, but coach Young always seems to put a tough group of eight out there to compete. This season is shaping up to be another success, and Ridgway (3-5 in 2014) has been working hard all summer to make sure of that.
