BOSSIER CITY, La. — White Hall advanced to the 9- and 10-year-old Southwest Regional Championship on Wednesday by defeating Blanchard Little League 6-2 in the losers’ bracket final.
White Hall tallied just five hits in the game but a three-run first inning was more than enough to lift the team to a win.
After losing 10-0 in the first game of the regional, White Hall has now won three straight games to reach Thursday night’s championship game against Bossier City National, which begins at 6 p.m. White Hall will have to win twice if they want to bring the trophy home.
In Wednesday’s game, Greg Wolf led the way at the plate, finishing 1 for 2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Parker Reed had an RBI but did not tally a hit.
Felix Smart was 1 for 2 with a run scored and Caleb Taylor had a hit and two runs scored. Lucas Gray finished 1 for 3 with two runs.
Gray also pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk.
