The Harbor Oaks Ladies Golf Association celebrated 20 years of a special tournament called the Three-Ring Circus on Aug. 20.
DeDe Foster began the tournament in 1994 at the Rosswood Country Club. She and Betty Cole act as co-ring masters. Decorations are made of things seen at any circus, including clowns pointing the way to the action going on throughout the day. The food always includes hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings.
A full field with a waiting list this year made for a fun time, but it was a little hot. The format of play is three holes of low ball, three holes of scramble and three holes of Scotch play.
