Star City handles Dumas

DUMAS — The Star City Bulldogs spotted Dumas a 7-0 lead that lasted all of 58 seconds on the clock and scored all of their points in the second quarter as they defeated the Bobcats for the sixth straight time, 28-7, in an 8-4A Conference game Friday at Tidwell Field.

Warren takes momentum into DeWitt

DEWITT — Winning just one game — a Week 2 victory over Stuttgart — in its first three games, the Warren Lumberjacks got off to a unlikely start for a team ranked No. 1 in the 4A. However, the Lumberjacks (4-2, 3-0 8-4A) have won three straight conference games on the back of senior quarterback Justin Gorman, who has thrown 10 touchdowns in the last two weeks, including a 47-point win over Dumas last Friday.

NASHVILLE — The Watson Chapel Wildcats were heavy underdogs going into a game against the high-powered offense of the Nashville Scrappers, but the Wildcats showed no intimidation.
