STAR CITY — It’s always a tremendous honor and privilege for an in-state kid to get an offer from the University of Arkansas. Most kids who grow up here playing sports dream of the chance to be a Razorback, and Austin Capps will get to live out that dream as he has officially signed his letter of intent to play in Fayetteville.

Cardinals grab road win to open conference play

STAR CITY — The Star City Bulldogs opened up their 8-4A Conference schedule hosting the Dollarway Cardinals. Heading into the contest, judging by the records of these two teams, one would figure that the Cardinals, who entered with an 8-4 record, would run away with the game, but the 1-8 Bulldogs put up a tough fight in front of their home crowd.

Lights-out shooting sends Zebras to title game

The 2014-2015 6A state champion Pine Bluff boys basketball team entered the 2015 Zebra Invitational as the favorites of a five-team pool. Before advancing to the championship round they first had to overcome a matchup with the Little Rock Central Tigers on Tuesday inside McFadden Gymnasium.
