WHITE HALL — Senior Courtney Anderson scored from 39 yards out with 2:36 left to lift White Hall to a 34-29 win Friday night as the Bulldogs handed Hot Springs its first conference loss of the season.

STAR CITY — After all the drama that took place at Bulldog Stadium on Friday night, the 8-4A Conference race just got a little more wide open.
Pine Bluff’s David Beasley has been playing outstanding throughout the 6A-South Conference portion of the schedule. Heading into Friday night’s game, the junior had scored touchdowns in all three phases of the game over the previous three weeks.
Led by senior quarterback Justin Gorman, the Warren Lumberjacks used a strong second quarter to win 54-22 over the Monticello Billies in the annual Saline River Shootout on Friday night at Hyatt Field.
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Yellowjackets (2-6, 1-4 in 6A South) got a much needed win Friday night against struggling conference opponent Little Rock Hall (0-7,0-5 in conference).
RISON — Last year it was Bearden scoring with 28 seconds left in the game to beat Rison. This year it was the Wildcats’ turn for the dramatics, as they scored with 27 seconds to go to defeat the Bears, 43-36, in a big 8-2A Conference battle Friday night at Wildcat Field. Rison’s victory ended Bearden’s 2-game winning streak in the series, which the Wildcats lead, 38-13.
WHITE HALL — Kam’ron Hunt ran for three touchdowns to lead White Hall to its third win of the season, 20-6 over Mills on Thursday night at Bulldog Stadium.
The Rison Wildcats have all but locked up a spot in the 2A playoffs this season, but this week’s game against No. 2 Bearden could guarantee the No. 2 playoff seed in the 8-2A.
When Dumas took a 7-0 lead on Star City a week ago, the Bulldogs hadn’t quite gotten out of a rough spot.
There’s been no mention of revenge by the Pine Bluff Zebras this week.
