RISON — Woodlawn junior Taylor Stitt threw a no-hitter as the Bears defeated Rison 12-0 in five innings on Friday.
Stitt faced the minimum and struck out five batters. He was also 2 for 4 at the plate.
Colton Williams was 3 for 3 with an RBI and Trey Chapman was 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. Junior J.P. Aiken had three RBIs.
Woodlawn (18-3, 1-2 in 8-2A) will play at Norphlet on Monday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Watson Chapel 4, Magnolia 0
Watson Chapel’s Josh Dardenne pitched a complete-game shutout as the Wildcats defeated Magnolia 4-0 Friday night.
Dardenne gave up four hits, struck out five and walked two in seven innings. He also had a pair of hits to lead the offense.
Landen Colson, Dalton Barker, Jacob Owen and Kirel Young had a hit each for the Wildcats.
Watson Chapel (12-5, 7-1 in 5A-South) scored three runs in the first and one in the fifth. Chapel will play at Hope on Tuesday.
Fordyce 7, Camden Harmony Grove 3 (Thur.)
CAMDEN — Braden Chambers hit a grand slam in the first inning and the Fordyce Redbugs defeated Camden Harmony Grove 7-3 on Thursday night.
Tommy Tidwell pitched the first five innings for the win and Jakeymes Gates closed it out in the final two innings.
Ross Rogers and Caleb Hartgen were 2 for 3 to lead the offensive charge.
Fordyce (12-2, 3-0 in 8-3A) will play at Drew Central on Monday.
Stuttgart 4, Riverview 3
STUTTGART — Three Lady Ricebirds tallied multiple hits as Stuttgart made the most of their nine hits in a 4-3 win over Riverview on Friday night.
Kaley Fruge, Sydney Nash and Sidney Barron had two hits each. Jaelyn Maddox, Samantha Davis and Nash each drove in a run.
Madison Summers pitched six innings of relief in the win. She gave up three runs (two earned) on 11 hits with two strikeouts and one walk.
Maddox started the game but pitched just one inning, striking out one batter.
Stuttgart scored a run in the second and third innings and two more in the fifth. Riverview scored two runs in the fourth and one in the sixth.
Foreman 6, Woodlawn 0; Bentonville 3, Woodlawn 0
MONTICELLO — Foreman defeated Woodlawn 6-0 in the first game of a tournament on the campus of Arkansas-Monticello Friday night.
Maddie Stewart went 1 for 3 and Lily Henderson was tagged with the loss.
In the Bears’ second game of the tournament, Bentonville scored all three of its runs in the seventh inning as they handed Woodlawn a 3-0 defeat, its third loss in four games.
Drew Stitt, Megan Howard and Henderson went 1 for 3 for Woodlawn (13-3). Henderson was the losing pitcher, once again.
Woodlawn 7, Hampton 1 (Thu.)
HAMPTON — Woodlawn’s Lily Henderson struck out 14 batters and allowed just two hits as the Lady Bears defeated Hampton 7-1 on Thursday.
Henderson was also 2 for 3 at the plate while Addie Adair led the offense with two hits and three RBIs.
Laynie Nelson had two hits and two RBIs and Megan Howard was 2 for 3.
