WC’s Brown added to All-Star roster

Recent Watson Chapel graduate Tevin Brown has been added to the West roster for the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star boys basketball game, scheduled for June 26 at the University of Central Arkansas.

Watson Chapel coach Matt Busch confirmed Brown’s addition Tuesday. Brown, who replaces an unnamed player, is the first All-Star to have played for the third-year Wildcats coach.

Brown was named 5A-South Conference Player of the Year after leading the Wildcats to a runner-up finish in the league. The guard averaged eight points and eight assists per game and recently signed with Mid-South Community College of West Memphis.

He becomes the third Southeast Arkansas player named to the All-Star game, joining Pine Bluff’s Roosevelt Murray on the West team and Dollarway’s Kabion Ento, who will compete for the East.

Pine Bluff’s Ajia Richardson will compete in the girls’ All-Star game, also set for June 26 at UCA.
