WHITE HALL — Daniel Sprinkle pitched another complete game to lead White Hall to a 6-2 win over Magnolia in 5A-South baseball on Friday.
Sprinkle allowed just one earned run on four hits with 11 strikeouts.
Kirk Baugh went 2 for 3 with two doubles for White Hall (6-1, 2-0). Jase Wilson finished the game 1 for 3 with two RBIs, while Turner Sparks went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs.
Woodlawn 3, Magnet Cove 0
WOODLAWN — Four Woodlawn pitchers combined to hold Magnet Cove to just two hits Friday.
Starter J.P. Aiken, Trey Chapman, Taylor Stitt, and Jacob Richardson combined on the mound to shut out the Panthers in seven innings of work.
Stitt had a solo home run in the third and Chapman had an RBI single in the second.
Caleb Holleman — who finished 2 for 3 — plated Aiken on an RBI single in the fifth for the final run of the game.
Woodlawn (8-1) will play Walnut Ridge today at Arkansas Baptist in Little Rock at 10:30 a.m.
Fordyce 2, DeWitt 1
FORDYCE — Despite managing just two hits, Fordyce earned a 2-1, come-from-behind victory over DeWitt.
Trailing 1-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth, the Redbugs rallied for two runs with Dane Kemp driving in the go-ahead run.
Ross Rogers, who threw the first five innings, had Fordyce’s other RBI hit.
Braden Chambers tossed the final two innings and picked up the win for the Redbugs (6-1).
Pulaski Robinson 4, Stuttgart 2
LITTLE ROCK — Three unearned runs kept the Ricebirds (4-3) from picking up a road win on Friday.
Weston Wilks gave up two runs (one earned) in four innings. He allowed three hits and had three strikeouts.
Blake Marks gave up two unearned runs in his two innings.
Jack Morgan led the Stuttgart offense. He went 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Sheridan 7, El Dorado 3 (Thu.)
SHERIDAN — Tyler Allen took over the mound in the top of the second as El Dorado (1-1 in 7A/6A-South) raced to a 3-0 lead and held the Wildcats to one hit the rest of the way, helping Sheridan (8-2, 2-0) score a key comeback victory in conference play.
El Dorado scored its runs off starter Hunter Strong, who walked four and hit a batter in that inning. But Sheridan responded in the fourth with four runs — one by Lathan Wylie on a throwing error, one on Brady Bibb’s sacrifice fly, David Vilches’ score on a wild pitch and the other score on Tyler Raney’s RBI single.
It was 5-2 after the fifth as Allen hit a sac fly to score Wylie. Strong and Evan Thompson each hit a one-run single in the sixth.
Strong redeemed himself at the plate with two hits and two RBIs. Daggett stole two bases, and Wylie led the Yellowjackets with three hits.
Russellville 3, White Hall 1
NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Lady Bulldogs lost their opener of the Tournament of Champs on Friday.
White Hall (5-3) will play at 1:45 p.m. today against the winner of Friday night’s game between Nashville and Brookland.
Bryant 19-17, Pine Bluff 0-0
BRYANT — The Fillies were routed in a pair of three-inning games on Friday.
Kye Richardson led Pine Bluff (2-4, 0-4 in 7A/6A-South) with three hits on the day, while Jada Taylor tallied a hit in each game.
Sheridan 15, El Dorado 0, 3 inn. (Thu.)
SHERIDAN — Morgan Burke threw a perfect game — albeit an abbreviated one — as the Lady Yellowjackets rolled to a second straight 7A/6A-South win.
Burke had five strikeouts in Thursday’s shortened game.
Corbin Talbert and Olivia Reed both went 3 for 3 for Sheridan (6-1, 2-0). Talbert had a home run and five RBI while Reed added an RBI.
Bryant 5, Pine Bluff 0
BRYANT — The Zebras suffered their second 7A/6A-South loss in as many games with Friday’s road defeat.
Pine Bluff (3-4) will face Lake Hamilton on April 1.
