Preps Roundup: Lady Bulldogs wrap up 2nd place

DE QUEEN — White Hall wrapped up second place in the 5A-South Conference on Tuesday with a 50-44 win over De Queen in girls basketball.

White Hall (19-5, 11-2 in 5A-South) gained traction with a 15-5 second quarter to take a 27-20 halftime lead into intermission.

Hailey Wilkins led the way with 13 points, while Alexis Winston scored 11 and JaeLisa Allen added 10 for White Hall. De Queen (9-13, 6-7) was led by Erin Mitchell with 18 points and Ashley Davis with 17.

DE QUEEN — The Bulldogs (7-16, 4-9 in 5A-South) broke open a 38-37 lead through three quarters and rolled to a nine-point win.

Jaylen Spicer and Tyler Pirson each had 12 points, and Jordan Lawson added nine for White Hall.

Sheridan 61, Texarkana 54

TEXARKANA — Three Sheridan players scored in double digits and senior Chris Whitman nearly finished with a double double as the Yellowjackets defeated the Razorbacks on Tuesday.

Whitman finished the game with 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Dylan Morris scored a team-high 22 points and Jessie Feathers chipped in with 10 points.

Sheridan (10-14, 5-7 7A/6A South) led Texarkana 31-22 at the half.

The Yellowjackets will host Lake Hamilton on Thursday night for Senior Night and will wrap up the regular season on Friday at El Dorado.
