Preps Roundup: Eagles roll to home win

The Ridgway Christian boys basketball team routed Malvern-based Ambassador Christian, 57-26, on Thursday night.

Jacob Dedman led Ridgway (6-2) with 14 points.

Ezra Tole added 13 for the Eagles, who held quarter leads of 16-5, 34-13 and 53-20.

The Eagles used a stifling defense to improve to 4-2 on the year.

Ridgway held quarter leads of 7-2, 13-8 and 17-11.

James Scott led the Eagles with 11 points.

Sylvan Hills 42, Watson Chapel 37

A big game from Simeon Blair couldn’t keep the Wildcats from suffering a home defeat.

Blair finished with 26 points for Chapel (7-5, 4-2 in River City Conference), which plays Monday at Little Rock Episcopal.


Watson Chapel 23, Sylvan Hills 13

Cayla Trotter led the Watson Chapel junior high girls team to a home win over Sylvan Hills.

Trotter’s 11 points helped the Lady Wildcats improve their record to 6-4 on the season.

Jayla Avery added eight points for Chapel, which hosts Central Arkansas Christian next Thursday.
