Preps Roundup: Chapel boys grab third place

CABOT — The Watson Chapel boys basketball team won the third place game of the Cabot Pre-Holiday Tournament with a 69-57 win over Paragould on Monday.

Leonard Robinson led the way for Chapel with 16 points. Samuel King added 12, while C.J. Robinson and Xavier Young each scored nine points.


Watson Chapel 54, White Hall 8

Two Watson Chapel players outscored White Hall in a ninth grade boys game on Monday.

Michael Williams scored 13 and Kylan Williams had nine for the Wildcats (5-4, 3-1 in River City Conference).

Simeon Blair also chipped in with seven points for Chapel.

Jack Robey 46, Hot Springs 33

The Jack Robey ninth grade boys team improved to 6-1 with a win over Hot Springs on Monday.

Xavier Smith (12), Devonte Dilworth (10) and Brandon Little (10) all reached double-figures for Robey.

Jack Robey 49, Hot Springs 19 (eighth grade)

Jack Robey stayed undefeated on the season with the win over Hot Springs on Monday.

Kendrick Thorn led Robey with 10 points, while Antonio Snow added eight.


Watson Chapel 28, White Hall 14

The Lady Wildcats doubled up the Lady Bulldogs in Monday’s game.

Watson Chapel was led by Cayla Trotter (12) and Destiney Qualls (seven).

Braden Ryburn scored a team-high five points for White Hall.

Watson Chapel 23, White Hall 13 (eighth grade)

T’aja Williams scored eight points and Tyeshaa Fields added seven to led the Lady Wildcats to the win.
