Bulldogs double up Eagles


STAR CITY — Six different batters each had a hit in Star City’s 6-3 baseball victory over Crossett on Friday.

The offense gave Blake Wynn enough run support. Wynn struck out four and held Crossett to two earned runs on four hits in six innings.

Max Ross drove in two runs, and Tye Brown had a double for Star City (13-4, 7-1 in 8-4A), which hosts Lake Village on Monday.

SOFTBALL

Woodlawn 4, Rison 0

WOODLAWN — Lily Henderson threw a two-hit gem and struck out eight in a complete game to keep the Lady Bears (12-0, 4-0 in 8-2A) undefeated.

The win was also Henderson’s 12th of the year.

Megan Howard went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Jordan Wylie doubled, stole a base and scored a run, and Henderson drove in another run for Woodlawn.

BOYS SOCCER

Pine Bluff 3, Sheridan 0

At Jordan Stadium, Lorenzo Williams scored all three of Pine Bluff’s goals in a shutout win.

Aubrey Walker saved six shots for Pine Bluff (3-5, 1-3 in 7A/6A-South).
