WHITE HALL — With the 2014 Arkansas High School football season slated to kick off next week, teams from around the state are gearing up for the season with some scheduled scrimmages.
The biggest weakness for Watson Chapel this season is its inexperience at the quarterback position. Despite having two seniors — Roger Totten and Jaylen Jackson — ready to take over, they both lack the experience necessary due to playing behind Kris McCullough and DeVonte Battles for the last two seasons.

WEST MEMPHIS — To all but Bobby Bolding it looked like the Pine Bluff Zebras checked off all the boxes in their preseason scrimmage here Monday night.
WHITE HALL — With six seniors returning for their final season, the White Hall volleyball team is expected to have one of its better seasons in a while.
WARREN — The Warren Lumberjacks return several starters from their 2013 squad and most of those players probably still have a sour taste in their mouth.
MONTICELLO — Most people wouldn’t reasonably expect to turn around a football program, especially one that has gone winless the past three seasons, over one offseason.
In his first-ever head-coaching job at the senior high level, Watson Chapel head coach Jared Dutton is well aware of the pressure that awaits him as he tries to return the Wildcats to a champion-quality program.

But that is now all in the past. “It is a new year,” Dollarway head coach Cortez Lee said. “The guys have put the great accomplishments they had from last year behind him.
