White Hall Bulldogs preview

White Hall’s 2014 season was full of close games, and the Bulldogs’ overall record was 5-6. In five of those six losses the margin of victory was seven points or fewer. One big play could have been the difference between a win or loss for the Bulldogs many times last season.

Fordyce Redbugs preview

The Fordyce Redbugs, led by head coach Tim Rodgers, are one of the few teams to return 16 starters back on a team that finished 7-6 (5-2 in 6-3A) ending with a trip to the playoffs.

Sheridan Yellowjackets preview

There’s no question that this Sheridan football team is a senior-led group. Sheridan has a total of 16 seniors returning for their last year of Yellowjacket football. This group is definitely battle tested, but they haven’t had much success in the past two seasons. A lot of that can be credited to their youth and inexperience, but this year that can’t be used as an excuse at all.

Star City Bulldogs preview

Head coach Jett Furneaux has a divine passion for the game, and his Star City Bulldogs football team is in good shape heading into the 2015 season. Coming off of an 8-4 season, Furneaux believes that his team didn’t fulfill its potential last year, as the Bulldogs had a second round exit from the playoffs.

Ridgway Christian Eagles preview

Ridgway Christian’s football program is heading into its fourth season of existence. So far, the football program has had success under their head coach Trent Young. Instead of 11-man football, Ridgway plays eight-man football, but coach Young always seems to put a tough group of eight out there to compete. This season is shaping up to be another success, and Ridgway (3-5 in 2014) has been working hard all summer to make sure of that.

Watson Chapel Wildcats preview

As the season slowly approaches, second-year head coach Jared Dutton looks to help his Watson Chapel Wildcats improve their results on the field. Last season resulted in a 5-6 finish, including an 8-point loss in the first round of the playoffs to Greenbrier.

Dollarway Cardinals preview

The Dollarway Cardinals football team has been quite successful in the past few years. They have been conference champions for the past three years (twice in 2-4A and last year in 8-4A) and have had winning seasons in the past four years. Head coach Cortez Lee works extremely hard with his young men, and the results on the field have shown that.

Pine Bluff Zebras preview

For the Pine Bluff High School football team, this past offseason was in most ways exponentially easier than the previous one. In one key area, though, it was marginally more difficult.
