Two local teams off to state


White Hall High School has advanced two teams to the state championships on the baseball diamond this weekend at Fayetteville.

The 2012 White Hall Bulldogs are to play for the 5A State Championship for the first time in 32 years.

White Hall earned its ticket to the title game at after beating Beebe, Greenwood and Nettleton.

The Bulldogs outscored opponets by a combined score of 25-5 during the three contests. The Bulldogs will face the Watson Chapel Wildcats on Friday at 7 p.m.

They will play on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Baum Stadium, home of the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team. Also, the White Hall High School girls’ softball team will see championship action when they face Vilonia for the 5A crown on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Bogle Park at Fayetteville.
