Annie Elizabeth Mayer Miller, age 90, of Pine Bluff, died Nov. 2 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late John and Agnes Dvorak Mayer.
Mrs. Miller was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, where she attended the Pine Bluff schools. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 29-year employee of Georgia Pacific Company where she retired in 1982, as inspector.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Matthew Miller in 1982; son, Frank Joseph Miller and one grandchild, Jackie Hurt; two brothers, John Mayer, Jr. and Toney Mayer; sister, Agnes Miller;
Survivors include one son, John William Miller, Sr. and wife, Sherry of Pine Bluff; daughter-in-law, Diane Miller of the Prague Community; one sister, Mary Firth, of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Charlie (Jennifer) Miller, Missy (Keith) Grimes, Rhonda (Michael) Grimes, John (Melinda) Miller and eight great-grandchildren, Samantha Miller, Benjamin Miller, Nathan Grimes, Terah Grimes, Conner Grimes, Kayla Grimes, Trey Miller and Harrison Miller.
A mass of christian burial will be said Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father L. Warren Harvey officiating. Burial followed in Graceland Cemetery.
A vigil service was held Monday in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son.
