■ A 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible sustained an estimated $6,000 in damage when it was struck by a pickup truck on Sheridan Road at the Interstate 530 interchange, Patrolman Tommy Kelly said.
Nancy Brown of 3908 Lincoln Green, Pine Bluff, driver of the car, was quoted as saying she was westbound on Sheridan, had stopped at the traffic light and was preparing to turn south on I-530 when the vehicle was hit from the rear by a 2001 Dodge pickup driven by Kasey Kelley of 509 West St., White Hall.
Kelley told the officer she was unable to stop in the left turn lane before striking the car.
■ Jennifer Ann Ames of 1213 Oak Hill Drive, White Hall, told Patrolman Robert Rogers she was driving a 2007 Chevrolet car on O’Mary Drive and negotiating the curve at Oak Hill Drive when a dog ran into her path.
As she swerved to miss the animal, Ames was quoted as saying, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a mailbox at 1101-1Oakhill, then entered the roadside ditch.
■ One Jeep struck a parked Jeep on the parking lot in front of KeepSake Jewelry & Gifts, 7203 Sheridan Road, Suite B, Sgt. Sandy Castleberry said.
Stacy Erin Hill, 1204 Blue Acres, White Hall, told the officer she noticed damage to the left rear of her 2006 Jeep Commander upon leaving a business in the Woodlands Plaza.
Megan Lois Lunsford of 1012 Ellen Drive, White Hall, was quoted as saying she had parked her 2000 Jeep Laredo next to the Hill vehicle and apparently struck the latter while packing out. She told the officer she saw a Facebook entry that said she struck a vehicle while leaving the parking lot and returned to Woodlands Plaza as Castleberry arrived on the scene.
A pickup truck struck a parked vehicle on the parking lot of Jones Feed, 7004 Dollarway Road, Patrolman Brent E. Bridges wrote in his report.
The officer quoted Robert H. Daugherty of 700 Elkins Road, Pine Bluff, as saying he was driving through the parking lot in his 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup and looking for a place to park when his front bumper scratched the side of a parked 2009 Toyota Highlander owned by Regina R. Staton, 5912 Gwen Lane, Pine Bluff.
■ Patrolman Brent E. Bridges said a 2006 Cadillac Crossover SUV driven by Wanda S. Batzos of 3700 Olive St., Pine Bluff, struck the office of Dr. T. Phillips, 7400 Dollarway Road, damaging both the exterior and interior walls.
The driver told the officer her shoe had twisted on her foot, causing her to press the brake and gas pedals at the same time.
■ Sarah S. Smith of 4329 Arkansas 104, White Hall, was quoted by Patrolman Robert Rogers as saying she was eastbound in a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle in the 1000 block of West Holland Ave. when a duck entered the roadway, she swerved to avoid the fowl and the vehicle entered the roadside ditch.
■ Michael S. Best, 31, of 1008 Hillcrest Drive, White Hall, was arrested on charges of theft of property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief in the second-degree after he allegedly took scrap metal belonging to Tommy Castleberry from 1602 McGehee St.
Patrolman Tommy Kelly said he responded to the theft complaint and determined Best’s 1999 Ford Explorer had been loaded chain link fencing material and a propane tank valued at $600.
Best was booked into the Jefferson County W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center at Pine Bluff, according to Kelly.
■ Joan M. Townsend of 333 Regal Oaks Circle told Patrolman Robert Rogers her 2008 Cadillac CTS had been struck while parked on the parking lot at White Hall High School.
Samuel Carrasquillo of Sherwood left a note on the Cadillac indicating he struck the vehicle with his 2009 Dodge pickup truck while pulling into a space next to Townsend’s car, the officer said, and returned to provide information for the accident report.
Penny Elaine Casey of 9204 Dollarway Road, No. A8, reported the theft of her son’s 24-inch orange Mongoose bicycle from the front porch of the residence, according to a report filed by Patrolman John Zuber.
White Hall firemen responding to the report of a vehicle fire on Interstate 530 at the 35 mile marker found a 2004 Ford Taurus engulfed in flames, Fire Marshal William Beadle said.
Randy Via of 1209 Camp Road, White Hall, was quoted as saying he was northbound on I-530 when he smelled something, saw smoke coming out of the defrost vents and drove to the side of the highway.
The vehicle was considered a total loss.
