A Pine Bluff man was injured when he lost control of his pickup truck on White Hall Road, with the truck striking a parked car and debris hitting two parked vehicles before overturning, Patrolman Robert Rogers said. Property damage from the crash exceeded an estimated $14,500.
John R. Watson, 38, of 304 Maddox St., Pine Bluff, driver of a 2003 Ford Ranger, was taken by EASI ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center and admitted for treatment of multiple injuries, the officer said.
Watson was eastbound when he lost control of the pickup, Rogers said, left the city street and struck a parked 2007 Ford Mustang owned by Jason R. Arnold of 109 White Hall Road. The latter was parked in front of the Snooty Fox Apartments.
Watson’s truck returned to the roadway, then struck a street sign and a chain link fence on the north side of White Hall Road before coming to rest on its roof, Rogers report said.
The fence surrounds the bus barn and bus parking lot for the White Hall School District. A six-foot pipe was knocked loose from the fence and struck a parked 2008 Chevrolet Impala and a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck owned by the district, the accident report indicated. The latter two vehicles, parked inside the fence, were damaged by the pipe.
