WH Police Report

June 26

•The WHPD was informed that a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy had arrested Timothy Burns age 36 of 4113 Chapel Ln., Pine Bluff on a warrant held by the WHPD. Burns was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center and booked on the warrant.

•Officers Mike Monk and Celena Harbison arrested Jason Lee West age 26 at his residence, 713 N.C.T.R. Rd., Redfield, for a Failure to Comply warrant that had been issued by the WHPD. West was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center.

•A two-vehicle, no-injury accident occurred on the north bound exit ramp of exit 32 off of I-530. Thomas Kauffman told Officer Brian Hornsby that he was waiting to make a right turn onto SH 256 when he was struck from behind. Shelby Boudra, driver of the second vehicle, old Hornsby that she noticed Kauffman moving forward to merge into traffic. She began to pull forward as well and did not realize that Kauffman had stopped. Boudra hit Kauffman’s rear bumper.

June 27

•A call from employees at Big Jim’s Convenience Store ultimately led to the arrest of David Young of Little Rock. Officer Robert Rogers responded to a call that there was a man inside the store making employees uncomfortable and that the man appeared to be in possession of a Dollar General shopping cart. Rogers arrived on the scene and made contact with a man that was later identified as Young. According to Rogers, he asked Young routine questions but Young was irritated, uncooperative and belligerent. After failing to calm down when asked, Young was placed in handcuffs. Employees told Rogers that the man had been in the store for over an hour and was making them nervous. Young was arrested on theft of property for the shopping cart that was taken from Dollar General and for loitering He was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center.

•Sgt. Sandy Castleberry and Sgt. Mark Bradley responded to a call of an individual passed out in a vehicle in the Wings to Go parking lot. The officers located the vehicle and Castleberry recognized the unconscious individual as Christopher Cain. The officers had a difficult time rousing Cain who was sweating profusely and smelled of alcohol. In his lap, Cain had a lighter and silver smoking pipe. In the front seat of his car, officers noticed a cigarette roller. Cain was arrested and taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center where he was booked on Possession of an Instrument of Crime and Public Intoxication.

•Officers Celena Harbison and Mike Monk attempted to locate 29-year-old Tobie Buck in regard to a warrant held by the WHPD. They were told that she no longer lived at the residence that they had on file for her. Later that day, the WHPD was notified that the Grant County Sheriff’s Department had Buck in custody. Buck was held at the Sheridan Detention Center where Officer Brian Hornsby picked her up and transported her to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center. Buck also had outstanding warrants with Sherwood and Pine Bluff. She was booked on all three warrants.

•Raven Harris reported to Officer Tommy Kelly that she was driving east on Sheridan Road in front of the Huddle House when a deer ran into the left side of her car. The windshield and driver’s side window were shattered and there was damage to the left side of her car.

•Officer Brian Todd was fueling his patrol car at Sandy Acres Grocery when he was approached by Stacy Moltz who said she had just witnessed a small accident. Moltz told Todd that she had just seen a Honda, driven by Calvin Thompson, back up and hit a Dodge Magnum which belonged to Georgia Washington. The officer approached Thompson, who was then backing out of his parking spot, and told him that he may have hit the vehicle parked next to his. Thompson denied hitting the car. After inspection of his vehicle, Thompson conceded that he may have struck the other car.

June 28

Terrica Coleman age 19 of 8012 Sheridan Road, White Hall, was arrested by Officers Mike Monk and Celena Harbison on a Failure to Appear warrant from the WHPD. She was transported to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center and booked on the warrant.
