July 15

Charles Mullins, 25 of 8608 Hwy 270, was arrested by Officers Mike Monk and Celena Harbison for a Failure to Comply warrant held by the WHPD. Mullins was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center for booking.

July 16

•Jeramy Deshawn Chambers was arrested by the Pine Bluff Police Department and transported to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center. Chamber received charges from the PBPD and had an outstanding Failure to Comply warrant held by the WHPD.

•Officers Mike Monk and Celena Harbison arrested Natalie C. Ellis, 29 of Pine Bluff, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center for a Failure to Appear warrant held by the WHPD. Ellis was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center for booking.

•Upon serving an arrest warrant for Glen E. Morgan, 52 of 1091 Moreland Dr., Pine Bluff, Officers Celena Harbison and Mike Monk learned that Morgan was currently in custody at the Sheridan Detention Center. Morgan’s whereabouts were confirmed.

July 17

•Rimel Kabjor, 34 of White Hall, was arrested at Tyson Foods on a Failure to Comply warrant from the WHPD. Officers Mike Monk and Celena Harbison took Kabjor to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center for booking.

•Jimmy Frances reported to officers that he received counterfeit money as payment for an item that he sold through Jefferson County Swap Shop on Facebook. Frances said that he made an arrangement to sell a dog kennel to a white male identifying himself as Jamie Price. Price picked up the kennel and gave Frances a wad of cash. Frances said that he did not look at the money clearly until the next day when he noticed that some of it looked fake. He took a $20 and $100 bill to the bank were an employee confirmed that they were in fact counterfeit. WHPD took the bills as evidence.

July 18

•A routine traffic stop lead to the arrest of Brian Christopher Barron, 31 of Pine Bluff. Officer Chris Drye made pulled a vehicle over that had no brake lights, no driver’s side tail light, and no driver’s side front blinker. According to the report, Drye wrote Barron a citation for Unsafe Vehicle then asked for permission to search the vehicle. Barron consented and the officer found a plastic bag containing Marijuana and rolling papers between the console and the passenger seat. Barron was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center and booked on Possession of a Controlled Substance.

•Officers Celena Harbison and Chris Drye conducted a traffic stop that lead to the arrest of two individuals. Driver of the vehicle Joshua Schmall was found to have an active warrant. A search of the vehicle produced a smoking pipe and marijuana crusher. Schmall was arrested on the warrant, for Driving on a Suspended License and for Possess of Drug Paraphernalia. Michael Schmall, a passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested on two outstanding warrants. One warrant was from Jefferson County and the other from the city of Dermott.

•A two-vehicle accident occurred on Sheridan Road with one of the parties involved leaving the scene. Sgt. Sandy Castleberry responded to Victoria Juneau who flagged him down. Juneau told the officer that she had turned from Robin Road onto Sheridan Road when a white vehicle pulled out of the Shell Station parking lot in front of her. She swerved to try and avoid the vehicle but struck it in the left rear. Castleberry was not able to find the white vehicle.

July 19

•A hit-and-run accident occurred at the red light at the intersection of I-530 and Sheridan Road. Dortha Compton told Officer Chris Drye that she was sitting stopped at the red light when she was rear ended. Two witnesses told the officer that they saw a gold color car hit Compton then turn and head north on I-530. One witness reported the license plate of the vehicle at 145SLF which was listed as belonging to a Green Dodge pickup registered to Rory Garcia of Nashville, AR. The offending car was not located.

•Sgt. Sandy Castleberry was flagged down by Clarence Nice Jr. who reported a hit-and-run accident. Nice told Castleberry that he was traveling south on Dollarway Road when a vehicle pulled out of Big Jim’s parking lot and struck him in the rear bumper. Nice told the officer that he pulled over as soon as safely possible. A witness, Amanda Blake, to the officer that she saw a blue Dodge Sport truck hit a gold Cadillac then keep driving without stopping or returning to the scene. Officer Celena Harbison later located the blue pickup and learned that 14 year old Jon Speer had been driving it that day. Speer told the officer that he had driven to Big Jim’s and as he was leaving a vehicle pulled out in front of him and he hit it. Speer said that he stopped but that the other vehicle did not so he left the scene.

•Officer Celena Harbison served an active arrest warrant on Jamie Cook, 37 of White Hall. Cook was arrested and taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center.

•A traffic stop turned into a brief chase and an arrest. Officer Robert Rogers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding when it fled before finally coming to a stop. The driver of the vehicle, Timothy Baughman, appeared intoxicated and field sobriety tests were administered. Baughman failed the tests and was arrested for DWI and issued a citation for speeding. A search of the vehicle produced a pill bottle containing Alprazolam tablets rolled in four cellophane rappers. According to the report, the contents appeared to be packaged for resale. The Tri-County Task force was notified. Baughman was taken to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center and booked for DWI, Careless and Prohibited Driving and felony narcotics charges.

July 20

The WHPD was notified that Clariece Atkins was in the custody of the PBPD. Atkins had an outstanding warrant with the WHPD. She was transported to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center.
