A Ford pickup truck stuck a parked vehicle in the parking lot behind City Hall, 101 Parkway Drive, a witness told Sgt. Sandy Castleberry.
A parked and unoccupied 1998 Ford Mustang owned by David Bennett of 109 E. Piney, Pine Bluff, was damaged in the hit-and-run accident, the officer said, when the truck backed out of a parking space.
The witness was quoted as saying the black 1997 Ford F-150, which had a hard bed cover and Arkansas handicapped license plates, was driven by an older white male.
A 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck struck a parked 2001 Jeep Wrangler on the student parking lot at White Hall High School, Patrolman Mike Monk said.
The truck, driven by Craig Adams of 1011 Michael Ann Drive, struck the Jeep that Corin Rebecca Reed of 607 East Holland had parked earlier on the lot, Monk’s report indicated.
Debra A. Hickerson of 3617 Linden, Pine Bluff, was injured shortly before noon when a large tree fell on her northbound 2006 Mazda SUV on Dollarway Road, Patrolman Tommy Kelly said.
Hickerson was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries, Kelly said, adding the injuries were not believed to be serious.
A large tree in the yard at 7103 Dollarway was apparently felled by high winds and struck the Mazda, causing an estimated $9,000 in damage to the vehicle, Kelly said.
