■ Two westbound pickup trucks collided on Sheridan Road just east of Interstate 530, Patrolman Stephen Moreau wrote in an accident report.
The officer quoted Garry W. Howard of 6320 Arkansas 133, Rison, as saying he stopped the 2011 GMC he was driving because of traffic and was struck from the rear by a 1995 Chevrolet driven by Sidney R. Roberts of 454 Kentucky, Star City.
Roberts told Moreau he began slowing on the rain-slick pavement because of traffic and skidded into the rear of truck driven by Howard.
■ A car and a pickup truck collided 300-feet east of Dollarway Road on Hoadley Road, Patrolman Brent Bridges said in his report.
Diana L. Nix of 2482 Alexander Road, Star City, told the officer she had stopped her westbound 2005 Ford F-150 pickup when traffic backed up near the intersection and a 2010 Mercedes C300 driven by Kacy A. McClain of 19560 U.S. 63, Rison, struck the rear of the truck.
A car and a truck collided on Sheridan Road between I-530 and Robin Road, said Patrolman Tommy Kelly, when the truck attempted to cross Sheridan and drove into the path of the westbound car.
Dale R. Venteicher of Mountain View told the officer he was leaving the area of the Big Red Travel Plaza, 8110 Sheridan, and attempting to cross Sheridan in his 2008 Dodge truck when the vehicle was struck by a westbound 1991 Toyota Cressida driven by Austin L. Berry of 701 Sheridan, Redfield.
Patrolman John Zuber reported a car and a pickup truck collided on Dollarway Road less than 200-feet north of Chipmunk Drive.
Kaitlin E. Bumpass of 1401 Oak Hill, White Hall, was quoted as saying she was southbound in her 2006 Nissan Altima when a 1998 GMC pickup driven by Michael R. McCree of 9204 Dollarway, No. B8, drove into her path.
McCree told the officer he was leaving the Post Office, 7400 Dollarway, and waited on traffic on Dollarway, before turning onto five-lane street. Zuber quoted McCree as saying he did not see the approaching car.
A passenger in a 1998 Jeep was injured when the vehicle ran off the roadway and entered a ditch at the intersection of Robin Road and White Hall Avenue, Patrolman Celena Harbison wrote in her report.
The investigating officer quoted Noah G. Tapia of 217 Musgrove Road, White Hall, driver of the SUV, as saying he lost control and the vehicle began sliding as he attempted to negotiate the curve. The passenger, Lisa Tapia of the same address, told the officer she was injured in the crash, but would seek medical attention on her own.
White Hall firemen responded to an alarm at the Sunny Abraham residence, 108 Fawn Cove, shortly after 11 p.m. Police who arrived at residence determined the homeowner had accidently activated the alarm and there was no fire.
