A car and a pickup truck collided on Dollarway Road at its intersection with Jefferson Parkway, Patrolman Stephen Moreau wrote in an accident report.
The officer said a northbound 2004 Ford F250 pickup truck driven by Forest L. Dalton of 136 E. 4th St., Vandervoort, Ark., struck the rear bumper of a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Martell L. Martin of 14501 Sara Drive, Little Rock.
Jared Tyler Hesselbein, 32, of 507 S. Green Oaks Lane, White Hall, was arrested and charged with domestic battery in the third-degree after he allegedly beat his wife of three days, according to Sgt. Sandy Castleberry.
Hesselbein was jailed at the Jefferson County W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center after Vicki Louise Hale, 30, filed a complaint with White Hall police, Castleberry said. The officer said the woman was treated in the emergency room at Jefferson Regional Medical Center for two black eyes, bruises, lacerations and an injured hand.
Castleberry said he arrested Hesselbein in a wooded area behind the Green Oaks Lane residence after responding to Hale’s call to police.
■ Two pickup trucks collided on the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant, 8012 Sheridan Road, and one vehicle left the scene before police arrived, Patrolman Stephen Moreau said.
William Johnson of 1913 Andy Cove, White Hall, was quoted as saying he was in the parking in his 2003 GMC truck when a silver truck pulled out of the drive-through lane in front of him and he could not avoid striking the rear of the latter vehicle.
Johnson said the driver of the latter vehicle left the before Moreau arrived.
■ A pickup truck and a car collided in the 8600 block of Dollarway Road, Patrolman Tommy Kelly said, after the car drove onto the highway from a drive-in parking lot.
Glenda S. Kellum of 12303 Dollarway, Pine Bluff, told the officer she was leaving the Sonic Drive-in and turning south when she drove into the path of a northbound 2008 Chevrolet pickup driven by Randall Jones of 301 Kady Road, Redfield.
Jones was quoted as saying Kellum did not see his smaller truck because of a dump truck to his right. The two vehicles sustained an estimated $8,000 in damage.
Jeffery Dylan Lane of 203 Edwards, White Hall, was quoted by Patrolman John Zuber as saying he backed the 2002 Ford XPL Sport he was driving into a parked 2010 Toyota 4Runner in the 100 block of Clinic Drive.
The owner of the parked and unoccupied vehicle was identified as Travis W. Persons of 2408 Creekview Lane, Pine Bluff, Zuber’s report indicated.
Michael A. Moss of 701 E. Holland, White Hall, told Patrolman Celena G. Harbison he lost control of his eastbound 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck on West Holland when he attempted to avoid striking a deer that ran into his path.
The truck entered a roadside ditch and stuck a mailbox, Harbison’s reported stated, before coming to rest on its left side in a creek bed. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $9,000.
