Bessie Mary Kohn of 157 Chipmunk told Patrolman Brian Todd she found two golf balls near a flower bed in her yard, adding she later discovered her garage window cracked and broken. She voiced suspicions that the golf balls may have damaged the window.
– Billy Gene Coble, 43, of 102 White Hall Road, surrendered to officers and was served with a Class D felony warrant accusing him sexual indecency with a child. He posted a $5,000 bond and was released from custody.
Coble was accused of inappropriate contact with a teenage girl on May 30, according to an affidavit filed by Patrolman Celena Harbison.
– A car and a van collided collided Anderson Street 300-feet east of Parkway Drive, Patrolman Brian Todd wrote in an accident report.
The officer said an eastbound 2011 Chevrolet Impala driven by Roy L. Agee of 6803 Oxford collided with a 2009 Honda Odysey van driven by Hemanshu Patel of 5709 Dollarway Road. Patel said the collision occurred as he was leaving the library parking lot and turning west on Anderson.
The two vehicles sustained an estimated $7,000 in damage.
Firemen responded to an automatic alarm at the Susan Kadlubar residence, 923 Parkway Drive. Firemen were unable to find any evidence of a fire.
