A Chevy Malibu owned by Sandra Williams was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked on the road in front of #5 Heritage Park Drive. Officer Celena Harbison talked with Shakyra Matthews, who told the officer that the vehicle had been parked there since the previous day. Matthews stated that when she went to the car that morning, she noticed damage to the rear driver’s side. It is not known when the accident occurred.
Bobbi Dejarnette reported to Officer Dustin Summers that the expiration sticker from her vehicle’s license plate was missing. Dejarnette told the officer that the last time she remembered seeing the sticker was on June 10 as she was exiting her car in the Walmart parking lot. She said that she is not sure when or where it was stolen.
Madison L. Harper, 28, of 502 Mockingbird Lane in Star City was arrested and held in custody for an outstanding warrant from the WHPD. Bradley County sheriffs informed Officer Robert Rogers of the arrest and he met with Bradley County deputies near Woodlawn to retrieve Harper. Rogers then transported Harper to the “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center. Harper was given a court date of June 19 at noon.
Jones Feed Store parking lot was the scene of a no injury accident involving two vehicles. Eric Earnhart told Officer Dustin Summers that he was pulling into the parking lot and trying to drive between two vehicles when he struck one of them. Owner of the other vehicle, Mary Wisemon, was standing outside of her SUV when the accident occurred.
