Jan. 17
Booker T. Cole Jr., 56, of 1204 Blue Acres, White Hall, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop on Turner Avenue, according to an arrest report filed by Sgt. Sandy Castleberry.
Jan. 18
A passenger sought treatment at Jefferson Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision on Sheridan Road at the Interstate 530 interchange, Patrolman Stephen Moreau wrote in an accident report.
The officer said Charlene Gorman of 4905 Sassafras Trail, Pine Bluff, was taken to the hospital by ambulance and treated for possible neck injuries. She was a passenger in a 2006 Dodge driven by Hubert Dean Gorman, who told the officer they were westbound on Sheridan and had stopped for a traffic light when they were hit from the rear by a westbound 2008 Toyota driven by Brenda L. Garcia of 211 Ruth Cove, White Hall.
Jan. 19
Joshua Rodgers, 21, of 603 E. Baldwin Road, White Hall, was arrested for DWI, fleeing, reckless driving and driving left of center by Patrolman Robert Rogers, who responding to a reported disturbance in the 100 block of East Baldwin involving Rodgers.
The officer said he observed a car reportedly involved in the disturbance on Dollarway Road at Hoadley, and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued north on Dollarway, finally running into a roadside ditch in the 13000 block of Dollarway.
The driver was taken to JRMC and treated for a knee injury, then released to police custody.
Jan. 22
— A 2006 Chevrolet HHR utility vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage after a deer ran into the northbound vehicle in the 7600 block of Dollarway Road, Sgt. Mark Bradley said.
The officer quoted Michelle South of 6017 Jones St., White Hall, as saying the animal darted into the roadway from a wooded area.
— A car and an SUV collided at the intersection of Dollarway and Hoadley roads, Patrolman Brian R. Hornsby wrote in his investigation report.
Jameson D. Massey of 2901 Walridge Cove, White Hall, driving a 2001 GMC Yukon south on Dollarway, told the officer a northbound 2011 Nissan Altima driven by Emma M. Buckner of No. 3 Colony Drive, White Hall, turned west into the path of his SUV.
Jan. 23
A 2011 Honda Pilot and a 2012 Toyota Camry backed into each other on the parking lot of the Sonic drive-in, 8601 Dollarway, Sgt. Sandy Castleberry wrote in a report.
Ashlea Brook Kennedy, of 1016 Boast Road, White Hall, driver of the Honda SUV, told the officer she was backing out of a stall and collided with the Camry driven by Latonia Danielle Bennett of 52 Cypress Drive, Pine Bluff, who was backing out of the employee parking lot at the same time.
Jan. 24
A Pine Bluff resident was arrested on a variety of traffic charges, including DWI, Sgt. Sandy Castleberry, wrote in the narration of the incident report, in response to a complaint of reckless driving on Dollarway Road at White Hall Avenue.
The officer said after he stopped Gina Webb, 37, of 608 Reynolds Ave., White Hall, she was belligerent and refused to take a sobriety test. She was jailed on DWI charges, refusal to submit to a blood alcohol test, failure to register her vehicle, fictitious tags and driving left of center.
Jan. 26
— Michael Wayne Doolin, 39, of 1006 Michael Ann Drive, White Hall, was stopped on Bulldog Drive after being observed on the parking lot of White Hall High School shortly after 1 a.m., Sgt. Sandy Castleberry wrote in a report.
Following a blood alcohol test, Castleberry said, Doolin was charged with DWI and no proof of liability insurance.
— A Pine Bluff resident was arrested two hours later off Sheridan Road when Patrolman Robert Rogers stopped the pickup truck he was driving for speeding.
Rico Pree, 36, of 4311 W.17th Ave., Pine Bluff, was jailed driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to a blood alcohol test, no proof of liability insurance, speeding, driving on a suspended driver’s license and fictitious tabs on his license plate.
A passenger in the pickup, Christopher Claiborne, 33, of 40 N. Richard Drive, Pine Bluff, was arrested and charged with obstruction of governmental operations after allegedly providing police with a false name.
Jan. 27
Patrolman Robert Rogers said Michael Joseph Collins, 27, of Nashville, Ark., was arrested on Dollarway Road after his Honda Accord was stopped for speeding.
Collins was booked into the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center on charges of DWI, two counts possession of a controlled substance and careless driving.
