Debbie Littleton-Paylor, an information technology specialist, at the Pine Bluff Arsenal’s Directorate of Information Management, was recently named the Arsenal’s Federal Woman of the Year for 2012, during the annual National Women’s History Month luncheon March 15.
Paylor has been employed in the Arsenal’s Directorate of Information Management for 22 years. She began her information technology career with Systamatics, Inc., obtained a certification as an information system manager in 2010, completed training as a certified information system security professional in 2010, and is currently preparing to obtain an insurance license in Property, Casualty and Life for personal self-development.
According to Paylor’s co-workers, she is someone that you want next to you during a crisis situation. “Debbie is a loyal, detail-oriented and dependable employee. She is cautious and calm in a crisis situation. She handles the unexpected with grace and her composure radiates to others.”
Paylor is a member of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, where she is actively involved in the youth and mission ministries, and has been the Vacation Bible School director for several years. She has also been the assistant youth director, Mission Ministry teacher and assistant Sunday School teacher at her church. She serves as a mentor for young women in her church and for all women she comes in contact with
She graduated as the valedictorian from Dermott High School in 1981, and earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in computer science in 1985 from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark.
Other activities that she is involved with include regularly visiting Davis Life Nursing Home and Dianne’s Adult Day Care facilities, serving as a member of the Ridgway Christian School Parents and Teachers organization, serving as a chairperson for Ridgway Christian School home room events, and volunteering for various position in the community such as Pine Bluff Little League baseball, Upward Basketball and the White Hall Soccer Association.
