The Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County is collaborating with URS and the Governor’s Dislocated Workers Task Force to host a Career Expo April 10 for URS and Southwest Regional Lab employees at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
More than 400 skilled workers, including process engineers, lab technicians, machine/control room operators, are looking for new jobs in our area with the end of the chemical weapons program winding down, an Alliance spokesman said.
Candidate information will be e-mailed to registered employers prior to the expo, the spokesman said. There is no cost to be an exhibitor. Each booth comes equipped with a curtained area for confidential interviews.
The expo will be held from noon until 5 p.m. at the the Pine Bluff Convention Center
