WHHS Cheer and Dance take honors

The White Hall High School 2013-2014 cheerleaders and steppers recently attended their respective summer camps to hone in on their skills.

Bulldog cheerleaders showed off their abilities at the National Cheer Association camp held at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock June 3 through 6. As a whole, the team came home with several awards including the Top Team Award, the Champion Chant Award and the Spirit Stick.

Individuals that receive the honor of All-American Cheerleader were Caroline Evans, Anna Tietz, Emily Lawrence, Haley Brown, Ashley Clark, Emma Buckner, Caroline Weaver and Bailey Sutliff. Sutliff was also named Top All-American Cheerleader for the entire camp.

The Steppers representing the WHHS Bulldogs attended the National Dance Association camp June 10-12 and also came home with awards.

The group received superior ribbons for Team Dance and Home Routine. They also won a coveted bid to nationals with the Innovative Choreography Award.

Young ladies earning the title of All-American Dancers were Amber Miller, Jordan Boda, Katelyn Bell and Baley Elkins.

Both spirit squads are excited about their wins and are looking forward to a fun filled year representing the Bulldogs.
