The White Hall Chamber of Commerce held its annual Summer Cool Down event at city hall on June 25. Residents of White Hall were invited to come out and bring their families for food, fun and fellowship.
The event has been a tradition for the city for more than 20 years. It began as an ice-cream social where local business owners made their favorite homemade ice-cream for attendees to sample and enjoy. Over the years, the event has grown.
Those that attended this year’s event were served grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and iced tea. The food was provided by the White Hall Chamber of Commerce and Catering by Scott Ray.
Guests were entertained with music. There was even a bounce house for the little ones.
Chamber President Steve Hood talked about the event and said, “It’s just a way to thank the members of the chamber.”
Hood also said, “In the future, I think it would be fun to go back to having the homemade ice-cream along with the burgers and hotdogs.”
The event is held each summer and everyone is welcome to attend.
