Independence Day is just around the corner and the Redfield Community Services Association has celebrations planned at Redfield.
Thursday, July 4, the city will hold its annual Independence Day Parade. All float entries are welcomed and there is no entry fee. Participants should being lining up at 9 a.m. for the parade that starts at Sunset Valley across from the Truck Stop.
The parade will officially begin at 10 a.m. and will travel down highway 46 Sheridan Road onto River Road and end in Redfield City Park. Families are encouraged to line the streets and cheer on the floats as they pass by.
Once the sun sets, the park will also be home to a fireworks show. This year patrons will be charged a $5 fee to help with the expense of the fireworks.
Sponsors for this year’s events include Subway, Dobbins Trucking, Building Utilities, Relyance Bank, Redfield Liquor Store and the Silver Streaks.
