<p>Ryburn Scholars The recipients of the James and Maude Ryburn scholarship at Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK) for this academic year are Leigha Long of Rison, Kelli Nelson of Grady, and Tracy Liles of Redfield. Each year, members of the Ryburn family contribute to a scholarship in memory of James Ryburn, who was one of the first instructors at the Pine Vocational School (presently known as SEARK College) and his wife, Maude Ryburn, who taught for years at Gabe Meyer Elementary School in Pine Bluff. Students with a 3.0 grade average who are attending SEARK are encouraged to apply for the scholarship for the 2014-2015 school year. <p>Teshema Woodfork, nursing student at Southeast Arkansas College, was selected and recognized as the 2012 fall semester recipient of the Joyce Ragland-Vance scholarship. The Ragland-Vance scholarship, established in memory of Joyce Ragland Vance by her family and friends, is a scholarship set aside for a deserving full-time Southeast Arkansas College student in a LPN to RN program.
