Each year, members of the Ryburn family contribute to a scholarship in memory of James Ryburn, who was one of the first instructors at the Pine Vocational School (presently known as SEARK College) and his wife, Maude Ryburn, who taught for years at Gabe Meyer Elementary School in Pine Bluff. Students with a 3.0 grade average who are attending SEARK are encouraged to apply for the scholarship for the 2014-2015 school year.
