MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello Small Business & Technology Development Center and Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center will offer Getting Started with Government Contracting Seminar
Feb. 12, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the UAM Library (Conference Room A).
Federal, state and local government agencies contract with thousands of small businesses every year buying everything from paper clips to space ships…from landscaping services to computer software…and more. The Federal government alone will buy over $6 billion in products and services each year. 20%+ of all contracts MUST be awarded to small businesses.
At this workshop small business owners will get an overview of the different business types as well as the different government contract types. Government contracting is different than contracting in the private sector and APAC will help you in becoming familiar with the process. The Instructor will be David Jerome and other counselors from the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center.
The seminar is free.
