Lynda Locke, WHSD bus driver, and Natalie Dietrich, fourth-grade teacher at Hardin Elementary, show plenty of enthusiasm as Hardin Elementary students board the bus for a field trip to see the new movie The Lorax. Afterwards they had a picnic at a Little Rock park. Students were awarded the field trip by scoring proficient or advanced on last year’s Arkansas Benchmark Exam in both math and literacy. More than 100 students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades took the trip. (Special to The Progress)
