Application deadline for Jefferson County Single Parent Scholarship is Sept. 20


The Jefferson County Single Parent Scholarship Fund is currently accepting scholarship applications from single parents living in Jefferson County. The deadline to apply is Sept. 20. The fund provides incentive scholarships to economically disadvantaged single parents in Jefferson County who are pursuing diplomas or degrees from a 2-year or 4-year institution of higher learning.

Potential scholarship applicants may visit the Jefferson County page of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund website at http://www.aspsf.org/county_jefferson.html to fill out an online application and to review eligibility requirements. The Jefferson County Single Parent Scholarship Fund is helping to make college a reality for local single parents. The scholarship fund is an affiliate of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund which was established in 1990. Its mission is to enable single parents to attain self-sufficiency through post-secondary education. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, utility bills, car maintenance, child care, or expenses related to educational pursuits, as approved by the Selection Committee.
