Von Tungeln, Cheek vows exchanged


Ashley Brianne Von Tungeln and Justin Chain Cheek were united in marriage on May 19 at 2 p.m. in an outdoor ceremony at Mount Magazine State Park.

Rev. John Bean united the couple in marriage.

The bride is the daughter of William Dale Von Tungeln and the Late Lea Ann VonTungeln. She is the granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Gene Hammonds of Lago Vista, Texas, Paul Hargrove, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Von Tungeln.

She is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School, and graduated in December 2011 from the JRMC School of Nursing as an RN and is employed by JRMC.

The groom is the Son of Louis Cheek II and Luan and Robert Rogers. He is the grandson of Bobby and Nancy Kelly, Billy Cheek and the Late Stella Cheek. He attended Pine Bluff High School, and is employed by Design One Landscaping as a landscaper.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, the bride, wore a strapless formal soft A-Line Chiffon gown with a sweetheart fitted bodice, side drape cascades fell from the crystal beaded empire waist line. Covered buttons closed the back of the gown and soft pleats fell into a chapel length train. She wore a rhinestone and pearl tiara, her jewelry consisted of a angel wing diamond necklace given to her by her grandparents Momma Clara and Poppa Gene, her late mothers family ring and a diamond bracelet borrowed from Tiffany Graves.

She carried a clutch bouquet of blue delphinium,white spray roses,white Asiatic lilies and lemon leaf tied with a royal blue sheer ribbon.

Autumn Allen, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Tiffany Graves, and Reagan Haynes. The bridal attendants wore identical strapless A-line chiffon tea length horizon blue gowns with a sweetheart bodice. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet. The late Casey Crowder was the honorary bridesmaid.

The flower girl was Caroline McGahhey of Pine Bluff, niece of the groom.

The ring bearers were Caden Cheek and Hunter Cheek, both nephews of the groom.

Louis Cheek II father of the groom served as best man,The groomsmen were William Sanders and Corey Craig.

The ushers were Timothy Cheek brother of the groom and Justin Webb.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Lodge at Mount Magazine.

The bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner featuring an old fashion Cajun fish fry.
