Stephanie Gale Beavers and Adam Paul Buerkle exchanged wedding vows at 7 p.m. on May 12, 2012, at St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock. The Reverend Greg Schick officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thomas Beavers of Little Rock and the late Mrs. Kathie Gale Beavers.
She is the granddaughter of the Mrs. Bessie George Murlas of Greensboro, North Carolina, the late Mr. George Peter Murlas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Walter Beavers.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Paul Buerkle, Jr. of Maumelle and the late Mrs. Beth Hensley Buerkle. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. William Clay Hensley, the late Mr. Edward Paul Buerkle, Sr., and the late Mrs. Juanita Travis Buerkle Henderson.
The organist, Robert Lindley, furnished a program of nuptial music.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a formal Angelina Faccenda gown made of natural Dupioni silk. The asymmetrical ruched gown featured a modified sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice with a knotted bow was enhanced with a brooch of rhinestones and pearls. Covered buttons and loops closed the V back of the gown. The flared skirt with soft pleats at the sides flowed into a chapel train. Her veil of English silk illusion featured a corded edge and was secured by a comb.
She carried a clutch bouquet of white English garden roses, blush and white peonies, accented with virurbum, tied with ivory French ribbon and intertwined with lace from her mother’s wedding dress. Valerie Ann Beavers of Little Rock, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor.
The bridesmaid were Tara Chanel Beebe of Sherwood, Rebecca Hensley Buerkle of Little Rock, sister of the bridegroom, Katherine Elizabeth Burkhalter of Little Rock, Katherine Elizabeth Busby of Little Rock, Lyndsay Duncan Carter of Stuttgart, Rebecca Tynes East of Bryant, Megan Moore Johnson of Fayetteville, Katherine Elizabeth Sipes of Greensboro, North Carolina, cousin of the bride, and Lindsey Ann Smith of Alexander. The bridal attendants wore identical floor-length gowns of platinum chiffon. The gowns featured a sweetheart neckline with one shoulder and fitted ruched bodice. The natural waistline was enhanced with a ribbon belt and gathered into an A-line shirt. The bridesmaid carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
The bridegroom’s father served as the best man. The groomsmen were Tyler James Davidson of Austin, Texas, Nicholas Adam Green of Little Rock, Michael Taylor Hoskyn of Little Rock, David Leslie Machen of Little Rock, Jake Criner Para of Dallas, Texas, James Anthony Ritchie of Little Rock, Nathan Aaron Shaw of New York City, New York, Bradley Scott Simpson of Maumelle, Cody Allen Starks of Sikeston, Missouri.
The ushers were Andrew Wayne Coates of Dallas, Texas, Justin Alan Foshee of North Little Rock, John Taylor Moore of Little Rock and Charles Watson Van Ness of Fayetteville.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Pleasant Valley Country Club. Music was provided by Blue Silk Band of Memphis, Tennessee.
After a honeymoon to Rivera Maya, Mexico the couple will be at home in Little Rock.
The bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday at Cheer’s in Maumelle. On the morning of the wedding, a bridesmaids’ brunch was hosted by Mrs. Deana Sipes, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Sandra Starnes at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library.
