JACKSONVILLE — White Hall scored 28 runs as the Lady Bulldogs won two softball games against North Pulaski on Tuesday.
White Hall (12-2) won the first game 15-0 in three innings in the first game, and then took the second game 12-2 in six innings.
Rachel Box got the win and struck out seven and gave up three hits in three innings. She was 3 for 4 with four RBIs.
Karia Hall had four RBIs, Kayla Reap had three RBIs, Abby Weaver went 4 for 4 with an RBI and Jessica Ashcraft and Sydney Smith each had an RBI.
Sydnee Clark won the second game and struck out 11 batters and gave up three hits.
Box was 1 for 2 with a two-run home run, Wheelus had three RBIs and Hall and Smith each had an RBI.
White Hall plays at 5 p.m. on Monday at home against North Little Rock.
Malvern 3, Star City 1
MALVERN — Star City scored a run in the first inning but was shut out the rest of the way as Malvern claimed a 3-1 win on Tuesday.
Austin White took the loss and is 3-2 on the season for Star City (8-6). Ryan Mills had two hits and Slade Hawkins had a double and an RBI.
Star City plays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at home against Dumas.
White Hall 2, Little Rock Mills 0
WHITE HALL — White Hall broke a 120-minute scoreless drought with two goals in the second half to beat Little Rock Mills 2-0.
White Hall (9-3, 3-1 in 5A-Southeast) had eight shots on goal in the first half, but did not score. Jordan Lawson scored for the Bulldogs at the 13-minute mark in the second half on a header from four yards out on a corner kick. Seventeen minutes later, Kinzie Kight put a shot in the back of the net for the two-goal lead.
White Hall plays at 7 p.m. on Friday at home against Hot Springs.
White Hall 2, Little Rock Mills 1
WHITE HALL — Marleigh Pearce scored two goals for White Hall to lead the Lady Bulldogs in a 2-1 win over Little Rock Mills on Tuesday.
Pearce scored her first goal in the first half on an assist by Sarah Smith. Little Rick Mills scored the equalizer just before the end of the half.
Halfway through the second period, Pearce scored the game-winner for White Hall (4-4, 1-2 in 5A-Southeast).
White Hall plays at 5 p.m. on Friday at home against Hot Springs.
TRACK AND FIELD
LITTLE ROCK — Deandre Gridley came away with a victory for Pine Bluff at the Little Rock School District Invitational at Little Rock Hall’s Scott Field on Tuesday.
Gridley finished with a time of 42.30 seconds to claim first place in the 300 hurdles.
In the high jump, DeMarcus Taggert finished in second place with a height of 5 feet, 10 inches.
Patrick Grady had a third place finish in the mile in a time of 4:48.00.
Due to complications with the weather, the team results of the meet were not known.
There were a number of postponements due to Tuesday’s rainy weather.
The doubleheader between Watson Chapel and Crossett in Crossett was postponed to 4 p.m. on April 16. Stuttgart’s game at Dumas was canceled and will not be made up.
In softball, Pine Bluff’s home game against Sheridan has been postponed to 4 p.m. on April 30. Watson Chapel’s home doubleheader against Little Rock Mills was moved to 4 p.m. on April 18.
